After the 2004 United States presidential election, there occurred a vast outpouring of sorrow, regret and sympathy for the outcome. The result was another 4-year term of office for the worst presidential administration the US has ever known. The terrible price we have all paid as global citizens is now clear.

A website sprang up amidst this direful mood called SorryEverybody.com, which captured the spirit of this global bummer.

Four years have passed and we are on the verge of a new era. Barack Obama, an inspiring young senator from the State of Illinois, appears poised to capture the Presidency of the United States of America. The election of this brilliant, thoughtful man of mixed race holds the promise of inspiring people of all races and nations toward a higher purpose. His election will usher in a new era of progressive attitudes, environmental stewardship, international cooperation and a reversal of the destructive policies of the outgoing administration of George W. Bush.

While the election of Barack Obama is not assured, polls indicate that he is supported by a majority of voters in the US, and an overwhelming majority of adults in most other nations.

Let's welcome America back into the community of nations by ensuring the election of this inspired man. Post your photo. Spread the word.
